Noscotek, with a group of its South African Laserfiche resellers and customers, took part in Laserfiche’s first user meeting, hosted in South Africa on Wednesday, 27 July 2016.

Laserfiche creates simple and elegant enterprise content management (ECM) solutions that help organisations run smarter by streamlining documents, records and business process management. Its user meetings are unique events where fellow Laserfiche users are able to gain insight into how others have executed the various Laserfiche suites into their organisation.

The event offered users the opportunity to learn about the latest Laserfiche products and features, including reduced coding with Laserfiche Connector and new add-ons with Laserfiche Forms. In addition to this, there was a discussion panel where some of Laserfiche’s award-winning customers spoke about how they have applied the different Laserfiche products to streamline their business processes and increase productivity within their company.

“The user panel was well received by the attendees. It allowed them to hear from other Laserfiche users who shared their successes using Laserfiche over the years. The Laserfiche community is known for sharing ideas and helping each other to achieve success, and this was evident at the user meeting,” said Sheldon Halgreen, Solutions Director at Noscotek, who led the customer panel discussion with Mike Re, CIO at Avis fleet; Jacques Lotriet, Business Analyst for Financial Efficiency at PERI South Africa; and Jason Bonehill, HR Business Analyst for Barloworld Automotive.

Bonehill stated: “The customer panel afforded me the opportunity to provide my perspective of the Laserfiche system and the way it functions. I found the experience interesting, rewarding and was able to learn significantly from the way in which the other panel members discussed their system implementations, as well as the questions asked by the audience. From the ensuing discussions, I gained a greater understanding of the way the Laserfiche system can develop, grow and change.”

Users were also privy to a bonus session led by Pragya Anurakti, International Technical Manager of Laserfiche Hong Kong; and Sida Yuen, Solutions Engineer of Laserfiche Hong Kong. During this session, Laserfiche Discussions and Laserfiche Business Process Library, which were both launched in March this year, were reviewed in detail.

“Laserfiche Discussions is essentially a collaboration Web site. It gives employees in your organisation a place to ask questions, discuss topics, share ideas and centralise all communication in one place. While the ECM solution helps you to automate and standardise business processes within your organisation, we also realise that, often, discussions and conversations are involved to reach a solution or to make a decision, therefore we developed this product as an integral part of the ECM solution that helps users to easily have discussions about their business processes, with full transparency for other employees in the organisation,” said Anurakti.

Denise Choi, International Business Development Manager of Laserfiche Hong Kong, commented: “The Laserfiche User Meeting South Africa showcased the strength of our user community in South Africa, and it provided them with valuable new knowledge about the latest features of Laserfiche. Everyone benefited from this educational event, which demonstrates our commitment to the Laserfiche community. We will continue to support our users in South Africa to help them create more business success in 2016 and beyond.”
